Papermaking Workshops at Arts Asylum occur from March through September each year by appointment.

 CURRENTLY, BECAUSE OF THE COVID PANDEMIC, WORKSHOPS ARE LIMITED TO TO 4 PEOPLE OR LESS FOR PAPER MAKING AND ENCAUSTIC MIXED MEDIA.

Learn how to make paper using recycled paper, and/or banana plants, lemon grass, flowers and other natural material found all around us in Hawaii. You will learn of the basics, including how to make a variety of paper molds and deckles. A list of supplies will be provided to help you set up your own simple paper making studio will be provided. Children age 10 and up are welcome with their parents.
